Ninth-rankedSamsung Thunders (7-17) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Wonju DB (13-13) in Seoul on Thursday. The visitors from Wonju managed to secure only one-point victory 80-79 . However their fans expected easier game. Strangely Seoul Thunders outrebounded Wonju DB 47-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Nigerian-American center Chinanu Onuaku (207-1996, college: Louisville) helped adding 16 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Jamaican center Kofi Cockburn (213-1999, college: Illinois) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds and the former international forward Junghyun Lee (191-1987) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. Samsung Thunders' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 13-13 record. Loser Samsung Thunders keep the ninth position with 17 games lost.
